Back to School & Back to Creating

Jettson started First Grade this past Wednesday. I can't believe it!  Jettson is thrilled with his new teacher, Mrs. Otis. We had a super, full, and busy summer. First grade...where did the time go? I feel like he was just born yesterday.

We had a great time on our 10 day road trip to Idaho. Sadly, my battery on my camera was low and I was not able to get any photos...I lost my battery charger :(   ----  (I think I got a few from a swim day...plus, taking pictures and chasing after two kids is not easy for me). Regardless of the missing photos....we still had a super fun time. However, I was more than ready to come home! I have never been so happy to come home from a trip in quite awhile. I just missed being my little hovel hut, my dwelling place. We had a blast playing with cousins, swimming and sightseeing...but there is nothing like coming home and being happy about it! We got back last Monday afternoon. We had one full day to get everything put away before school started.

I'm excited to get back to normal stuff...like cooking and laundry ;) Really, I am. Sounds nuts? I know. The other night when I was cleaning up after dinner...it dawned on me that for the first time since I took on the role as "mom" that I felt at peace in my role. Some of you know the struggles I've had transitioning into motherhood...because we have talked about it at nauseum (more like, I have talked it about it at nauseum ;).
I feel like I have finally come to accept my job and really am thrilled with embracing it and tackling it like I do with other things in my life, full force. I have this one shot with my boys to make it the most I can, and as I wrote above, time is just flying by.

My creative juices are flowing again...so if anyone wants to put in an order for hats in time for the holidays...now's the time to put in a request...meantime...I'm just gonna start making hats galore....here is a hat order I just finished...and other photos...Cheers!

Another Cupcake creation...yummy! He's such a good sport being my little hat model.

I found these little heart shaped kelly green buttons...too sweet.

I love the pom poms at the end of this hat...scrumptious.

Here's the real Owen...my little worker man.

Jett's first day of 1st Grade...Mrs. Otis classroom.

Have a serendipitous Week. xoc
