Upon waking this morning Jettson asked me the following questions. Mind you, it was 7:00 a.m.
Jettson: Mom, why do you have big boobs?
Me: Uh, because God made me that way.
Jettson: Oh, but why are they HUGE?
Me: Oh, my...um...I don't know, I am just made that way (laughing).
Jettson: Is it because you are a fat girl? Do fat girls have big boobs?
Me: Honey, all kinds of girls have all kinds of boobs (still laughing)
Jettson: How do you hold them up?
Me: I wear a bra, it is what helps hold them up.
Jettson: Yeah? Well, I think you need a shovel to hold them up.
Me: Ok...I think it is time to get ready for school now.
Geez! Did I mention that this conversation took place at 7:00 a.m.? Prior to a cup of coffee, even. I have no idea what is going on in his 6 year old brain this morning! Oddly, I was having a conversation last night with some of my mom friends about when do kids start thinking about the opposite sex and such. Funny, that Jett would wake this morning and ask me such a pointed question. I asked him if I had answered his question, he said not really. Oh, boy. We just left it at that. I am sure there will be more questions along these lines in the future.
What about you? Have you had conversations like this with your little guy or gal?

HAHA! That's so hilarious! Dylan found my tattoos the other day as I was changing into my gym clothes- "Mom! What's THAT?!" he asked, putting his finger on the one on my back.
"What does it look like, Dylan?" I asked, curious as to what he would say.
"It's a tree!" I had to laugh.
"No Dylan, it's a butterfly." "Oooooh," he said. "Butterfly. That's pretty, mom."
He then went around to all my other tattoos and asked me what they all were. I thought it was pretty funny!
OMG ... that is REALLY FUNNY! True LOL story!
Melanie...That is so cute! Owen loves looking at tattoos...too. Boys...they are so funny...it makes you wonder what kind girlfriends they are going to have?
I've had WAY too many conversations like this one over the years!
If he was younger, he'd probably want to squeeze them too! (or older & not related..) (did I just print that?)

It's NOT my home.

hah! what a riot... I can just picture your face! Isaiah was pretty interested in my 'boobies' when D was born and constantly attached to one. He even tried to help latch him on a few times. But since their function is pretty obvious at the moment he is uncurious. It was pretty funny when we started potty training and he couldn't figure out why I didn't have a penis. "But where did it go, mommy?" like I'd misplaced it or something!
