The King Turns 6!

I am so tired tonight! I am also getting a bit of a cold, ugh! I stayed up too late last night finishing my cupcakes and blogging. However, I cannot go to bed until I write about Jettson's day.

He woke up to his favorite breakfast of pancakes and hot chocolate. Then I let him open one birthday gift from a co-worker of Chris'. Chris and I had already given him his gift from us, on Friday. Chris and I are really trying to teach the boys about gifts and gift giving. But I digress...and my cold meds are kicking in so I am going to make this as quick as I can.

We then headed off to school with his cupcakes and the books I choose for his class gift. Rather than get random plastic something or other, I got four really good books to give to the whole class. After school today Jett's teacher complimented me on the choice of books and the choice of gifts for the students. It was a nice feeling knowing that Jettson was able to do something nice like that for his class.

Since Jett's birthday is on a school night this year we decided to have a nice little family gathering this evening, then in less than two weeks we will have an all kids birthday party with Audra Herrin (her birthday is on November 15 and she and Jett are best friends, so while we can still get away with it, Selena and I  are combining their parties into one bash. We have done it one other time and it turned out perfect. I am sure we will encounter the same results).

Look at that smile! Happy 6th Birthday Baby!

He was not interested in anything else except his "cucape." If we tried to take it from him he would yell "nooooo, it's mine!"

When I was putting Jettson to bed tonight after all the hoopla. I asked him if he had a good birthday, his repsonse,  "yes, but I am the King, so I am suppose to have good birthdays." I said, "well, if you are the King, then who am I?" "Oh, you're just the mom." So I am....and I love being just "the mom." Goodnight My First Born King.
