Monday was June 1st, as well as the first day of our summer schedule and the start of our swim lessons. First time for both boys. Owen's class is first. It is a Mommy/Baby class. SO I have to get in with him. It has been June Gloom around here with all the fog and not one bit of warmth. I was a bit reluctant at first to get into the pool. But oh, joy! The water was fabulous! 96 degrees! And, yes it is a little chilly when Owen and I get out, but not that bad. Jett's class follows...Jett is a natural swimmer. He is seriously a fish. He has never had formal lessons till now and he does just as well if not better then some of the other kids in his class that have been going since they were babies. However, the boys have both been in the water since they were babies just not formal lessons. It feels good to have something to brag about where Jettson is concerned. It has been long in coming. I am very proud of Jettson.
I am going to enjoy this summer immensely. This is Jettson's last summer as a free little boy! He starts kindergarten on August 26th. I am so sad that my little baby is now a full fledged little school boy. It seems like yesterday I was nursing him in my rocking chair! It does goes by fast just like everyone warns. *sigh*
In any event, looking forward to sunshine, laughter & memories.
