Lately, Jett has been saying the most hilarious things. He is acting like he going on 13 not 5. Some things he has been saying are a little worrisome and we will have to have them checked out. Here is sample of what I get to hear on a daily basis.
1. "Whaaat? I can't hear you" (which makes me wonder sometimes if he might have a hearing problem?)
2. "I can't see? What you talkin' 'bout Mom?" (now I wonder if he has an eye sight problem?)
3. We call body parts by their proper name---while bathing.
Jett--" Mom, I have a penis"
Me-- "yes, you do. What does daddy have?"
Jett--"he has a penis too."
Me--"What does mommy have?"
Jett--"um, lets look?"
(still not sure how we are going to approach this, but the good news is he knows we are different. I was a little worried about this, bc he kept calling himself a girl and that he has what I have.)
4. Since I have been nursing Owen---Jett has told us that he too can nurse Owen---only his "boo boos" have apple juice and only mommy's have milk.
It seems like the more kids you have the more curious about bodies the older one becomes. Jett is always seeing Owen getting his diaper changed which means he is always asking me about Owen's body parts.
Jett-- "Why does Owen have a penis?"
Me-- "the same reason you do, so he can go pee."
Jett-- "oh, so his butt is for pooping, like me?"
Me-- "yes."
Now, Jett tells Owen how great he is that he can poop and pee just like him.
5. "I am so proud of you Owen!"
6. "No, you are naughty."
7. "mommy, go to time out!"
I have been so worried for so long about Jett and if he was going to be able to talk or understand the world around him. He has changed so much in the past two years. Lately, I find myself saying, "Jettson, please be quiet!" I catch myself with a chuckle and think this time last year I was trying so hard to get him to talk! oh, the irony in it all.

That is awsome that he is doing so well! It is all the hard work you and Chris have done for him!
