We are home. Whew! What a whirlwind. We had a great time but geez....I should have taken a maid with me. I felt like all I did was work the whole time I was gone. It's not like I could just sit around all day. We did have a nice relaxing time nonetheless.
We left of Friday and stopped in San Luis Obispo and stayed with some family for Easter weekend. My aunt watched the boys for us on Saturday night so that Chris and I could go out to dinner alone and have some adult time. That was really fun. We had sushi and then bar hopped for about 2 hours. We have not done that forever.
We left for Santa Barbara on Sunday. We stayed at a great Hotel on East Beach. We had an ocean view room for $118 a night! Such a deal. We could not believe our good fortune. Jett met a little boy named Eli he was about 5 years old. He and Jett we instant best friends. Eli was from Minnesota. He and his family were gratefully soaking up the sun as their state has been snowed in for most of the Winter season.
We really packed a lot in a short amount of time. Santa Barbara is a really pretty town. We visited the SB Zoo, the beach, swimming, a petting zoo, dinners out, we went to Solvang (what a charming little town). Jett cannot stop talking about his vacation. It really was his vacation. Chris and I were his maids. We had a great time connecting as a family. I cannot wait till we can do it again.

What great pictures- it looks like you guys had fun. I do agree that if you want a real vacation, you need someone to watch the kids- I feel that way and I only have one! :)
I am glad you had a great time. I am ready for a weekend like this!
