Living a Creative Life By the Sea, With Boys!: LaLa Land, Legoland and Laughter

We had such a great vacation to SoCal. I was not sure how it was all going to turn out...we had planned a lot into 5 days...LA, Long Beach, Carlsbad, Oceanside, Huntington Beach, Santa Monica, Malibu, Laguna Beach, the O.C., Oxnard, Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo (stopped in to visit my grandpa and aunt & cousins) then home, 3 hotels, and 3 amusement parks.

It went perfect. The weather was awesome! It was warm...perfectly, warm...not too hot, not too cold---just right.

Legoland was worth the trip. The boys had so much fun riding rides, building legos, and just having fun in the SoCal sun. Jett drank Pina Colada's the whole trip. It was so hilarious to see the look on waiters faces when we would order Jett a Pina Colada (they were virgin of course!) He wanted to go to Hawaii (we are saving that trip so that we go with the grandparents) and drink coconut milk (not sure where he got this idea...but I think has something to do with Spongebob). We tried to hit Happy Hours at local restaurants...it was so fun...we would get mommy and daddy drinks then get the boys their "drinks" appetizers and just enoy being all together on vacation! Cannot think of a better way to enjoy being a family. There was lots of laughter and lots of smiles. The boys were awesome.

There were palm trees everywhere...it actually felt like we were in Hawaii...I had no idea there were so many palm trees down there. It was so beautiful...I kept telling hubs...how can anything bad happen in LaLa Land...the sun is shining...the palm trees are slowly swaying...the birds are chirping. It was a lovely vacation.
