Lately, I have been on a crafting project kick. I blame it on all the arty, crafty blogs that I have been reading lately. Such as http://thevintagerabbit.typepad.com/the_vintage_rabbit, http://www.purlbee.com/, and http://suzanneduda.typepad.com/my_weblog.
Jettson, Owen and I gathered lots of sticks in our "woods" in the front of our condo. We spray painted them white and then cut them with a hand saw down to size. It actuall took us a few times to get the right height so that the Easter Tree would fit on our mantel.
I found some paper easter eggs on the internet to download and print. The boys and I colored and cut out our paper eggs strung them with yarn and hung them on our tree. I went to Beverly's to get the rest of the decorations. I guess I could have made butterflies & birds but I was happier buying them at the craft store.
I really wanted to either knit or crochet some easter eggs as well. All the patterns I found looked a little time consuming since I have not done it before. I saw a page for dry felted eggs and went with that instead. I am glad I did. I think they came out pretty good. I love dry felting. It is so easy. There is no knitting involved and the results are really sweet and adorable.
I have included pictures of our Spring projects.
