I was reading my friends Aimee's blog this morning. She won a bloggy award. I am taking her up on her challenge. I consider myself a pretty honest person. The following are 10 honest things about me:
1. I hate injustice.
2. I will defend my children with my life!
3. I am always willing to roll up my sleeves and pitch in.
4. I hate fake people. If you cannot be real then don't bother.
5. I would rather write then talk on the phone.
6. I miss my mom.
7. I would really love to live on a farm.
8. I hate to clean my house. But I love to decorate.
9. I am a very caring person even though it may seem like I am not.
10. People would be surprised about what I really think.

Whew! That is a lot of honesty. This is a good New Year's post for me. I have not wrote much lately for many reasons. One is that I don't do NY Resolutions anymore. I used to. Now I do a list of things I am going to accomplish for the year. I have also been sick since the holidays. Had a cold at first then it turned into bronchitis. I have been laid up for about 4 days. I am tired and my energy level is pretty low. I keep thinking that I am better and I try to get stuff done. However, by days end I am spent and all I can think about is resting. This too shall pass...being sick is just awful.
I know today is Inauguration Day I perhaps I should be blogging about that. It is a historical moment in our history. Since this blog is mostly for my boys I would think that I would want to write about something so important. I guess I am still so disillusioned for our future outcome that it is hard for me to get excited (speaking of being honest!). In any event, a new day is dawning and in all honesty I do hope that things will get better for all of us.
