What a silly, silly holiday...However, my hubby did the classic, flowers, card and a very nice treat from Gayle's Bakery. Chris has pretty much always done something very sweet for me for V Day. Last year I told him that I really only want flowers for V Day and that we only need to pick one holiday a year to get eachother something BIG. I just think it is ridiculous to force someone to run out and spend $$$$$ on junk.
I got the best V Day gift today from Jettson, actually two. Without going into a bunch of detail Jettson has a hard time with his expressive language and sometimes receptive as well. He goes to a special preschool day class where he gets speech and other assitence. He has really improved so much since he has been going to to this class. In any event, on the way home from school today he asked, "mom, what is Valentine's Day?" I told him it was a special day that people tell other people how much they love them. I then told him that I loved him. Later when when were home he spontanously gave me a huge hug! This is what the holiday is all about to me!
